I can’t shake this voice in my head today. This is what it is telling me.

God’s path starts where you are today. You are already on it. It will lead you through this life and into eternity. Your destination isn’t a calling that will move you into the future, it is every action taken in the present. Put your faith in Him always, be ready to act for Him without delay always and in all things glorify Him. Focus not on the destination, for the destination is like the horizon, walk towards it everyday of your life and you will never reach it. Focus instead on each step, within each moment and action be for Him.

You will know the path of righteousness by observing yourself. Can you glorify Him in your actions, or do they lead you to weakness? Do those you associate with in your life lift you up in a manner that allows you to get closer to Him, or turn from Him? Are your actions done in secret, and to what end? For He is with you always, ever patient and wise beyond measure. If you cannot see Him or hear Him in your life, it is not because He has abandoned you, it may be because you denied him the glory of that moment. It may be because you have denied him the glory of many moments and He is allowing you to grow and learn the lessons of life on your own. Some have denied Him entirely and He loves them still, He bled for them also, even knowing they would forsake Him until the end of their days. He does not deny anyone salvation, He does not thrust it upon them either.

Do not be taken in by the silver tongue of the wicked, the sweetness of their words that entice the flesh and poison the spirit. Do not let your mind get fat on the thoughts of this fallen world, consuming each text, each post, each picture until the hunger of your mind is ravenous and no longer satisfied by the stillness of peace. The enemy of salvation is sin, and sin is in every action we cannot glorify God in. Woe be unto those who glorify God in their sinful actions, those who are shrouded in darkness and wish to devour the Children of God, to lead them into the eternal night. Those who say, if all is by God’s will then our adulterous and sinful acts are for him. For they blaspheme the Lord, God of all that is truth and righteous. They will find no rest in eternity; there will be no peace for them outside this life.

The Lord loves us all according to our worth. He takes pride in some, and is disappointed in others, yet He loves us all. He would want that we all meet Him in eternity, though His love extends beyond that and allows us to be us and walk our own path. No matter where you are in life, your path to God starts where you are at, right now, even reading these words. In every morning it is renewed. Feed your mind, your body and your spirit righteousness and you will grow in righteousness, feed them sin and you will shrink in sin. God’s path in this life is not set for you by your location, or season. It is set for you by your faith and your actions. Praise Him in all things, let your actions be those that give glory unto Him.
