The light of imagination and gratitude

My mind is a flutter this morning, like a butterfly trying to fly against a wind. I want to write about so many things, and I don’t know where to begin. If I could have just one conversation with you today and I couldn’t speak about how much you are loved and how that means absolutely everything. I would ask that you imagine…

First grab your phone and turn on the flashlight, put your smallest finger over the light and behold the glow.

Now imagine you are standing on a glass floor with a light above you, only just. So bright and intense even with your eyes closed tight and your hands covering them you still see the glow. Through the nostrils of your nose and the bottom of your feet also the glow, the light permeates you in a way that almost doesn’t seem natural (although we’ve seen it is possible just moments ago)

Imagine you stand there as naked as the day you were born, glowing as babies do the day they are born into this life.

Now imagine you are also looking up at yourself from beneath the glass floor, as if in a dream you are witnessing yourself glow. The light shown through you gets so intense that you can no longer see the glow that it engulfs the you standing on the glass floor so entirely that you can no longer see even an outline of yourself, all you see is light. You know you are up there, you saw yourself. The light is so intense now even the dream you that is witnessing must close your eyes tight and cover them with your hands…and even still that you sees the glow.

Now imagine the light is all you have ever known, it’s always been so bright that you felt as though you were a part of it. You do not know where you begin and it end, you swim in it, a truth not a truth because lies don’t exist.

All you’ve ever known is the light.

If I were to speak to you in that moment (where all you know is the light)…about shadows, about limitations, about truth or lies, love and sadness, about movement and progression, about creation and imagination, about you as you an individual. Would the you that has only ever known the light recognize and understand these things?

You are that light, contained in a body of flesh and bone. Given the chance to experience an individual existence so unique unto yourself that there can be no doubt in how special you are in this life. The perspective you have been gifted while you walk the earth, the affects you have on others and that you allow others to have on you, the potential inside of you is infinite and blindingly bright.

We are all the light. Imagine the glory and gratitude each of us would feel if in this life we could realize what we are actually witnessing all around us.

You are worth it!

Keep smiling, you’re worth it!

Always Yours
